And by Your Touch

At night when I lay down all alone
in the place of a stranger, no love no home
and the tears form from the pit of my soul
and the terrors and bitterness of the day take toll

Then I close my eyes and I dream of you
of the sweet joy you bring
the laughter that sings
and i thank the gods whoever they are for a love that's true

When the day trudges on and I lack the will
and foul moods through my mind spill
when the day is too long
and all goes wrong

Then I close my eyes and I think of you
the calm sweet peace
and my troubles cease
and I feel born new

When I look to the future with bitter fears
and to be alone, till death, brings foaming tears
and I cry against the universe
and my heart would burst

Then I close me eyes and reach out to you
and in the deep depths you warm me
and I am alone but free
and by your touch I grew.
